Student Evaluations- Instructor's Questionnaire
Fall 2003

What qualities or characteristics helped to make the course instructor effective?

I like the way that real issued were placed into the lesson; however, the Top Technology issue was excessive. The report and presentation was adequate for the course, but the storyboards and website presented no further illustration on the issues. It was only frustrating. Little instruction was given to create a website. For a peron who is not computer savy this was difficult. Also, saving the site to the CWU server only added to my frustration.

Ron knows what he is doing for the most part when it comes to computers and how you need to look at them from an auditors or accountants standpoint.

I have to say that you are like no other Accounting instructor I have had so far. You are the first to consistently articulate lecture materials, as well as routinely mix the media (both lecture and assignment) which kept it fresh and interesting. Thanks.

THE INFORMATION OFF THE INTERNET USED IN DOING THE ASSIGNMENTS HELPED REINFORCE THE CONCEPTS TAUGHT IN CLASS A LOT MORE THAN THE LECTURES.

The feedback was excellent you knew your class standing. The review of the homework and other assignments was useful to improve.

In addition to the knowledge posessed and the enthusiasm displayed by the instructor, I was especially impressed with the instructor's willingness to research questions he was unsure of/incomplete in and discuss the answers later.

I felt there was a lot of communication and feedback offered. Also, whenever a question was asked it was answered helpfully.

Ron is very approachable and personable. I feel that those characteristics make it easier to learn from him because he feels more like a peer and is not as intimidating as other professors.

The instructors humor and real life examples helped in learning and relating the material, especially on a dry subject.

Ron is dedicated to the accounting profession and expresses a sincere interest for the educational welfare of each of his students. Ron has a very strong working knowledge of computer systems and how they interrelate to the business world. Several times he has demonstrated the depth of his interest in the course material by sharing various resources that he has researched on his own time. His expectations of students are respectable and appropriate--motivating and challenging.
