Student Evaluations- Instructor's
Questionnaire
Spring 2003
What qualities or characteristics helped to make the course instructor effective?
Ron, you are animated and involved on/with the DE side of the classroom experience. It was good not to feel totally ignored by the instructor at the remote sight. I found your passion for the material stimulated my interest. This has been one of my favorite classes that you have given. Your organized approach is easy to understand and the only trouble I had this year was that your materials for this new class were sometimes posted between the time I left work and the time I arrived to class. My experience with your other classes (not the first quarter) was that access to the final powerpoint was available sooner. The information was on the cutting edge of what is happening so that when I read about accounting issues associated with technology it is something I can understand. My skills were eroding since tech is a constant battle to stay current.
the fact that he remained focused, and concentrated on being informative and educational, not on trying to show off how much he knew. It was readily apparent that he had put a lot of thought into the class.
This instructor is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The whole course was interesting because he made it that way. He should be teaching at Harvard, but don't tell him that or he might leave.
The enthusium for the class and the willingness to admit if things didn't always work right when you did them. It was nice to know that sometimes it blew up on the instructor and not just us students.
I felt confident in this instructor's knowledge of the subjects we covered.
