Student Evaluations- Instructor's Questionnaire
Spring 2003

In what ways could the course instructor improve how he teaches the course?

You really are a great teacher...by that I mean that you help me "be thirsty to know more." Your ability to challenge me to present when you know so much about the subject shows a great deal of patience and empowers me. The combination of practical application with the theoretical reading has been very helpful. Using the web really helped me in my job. Making the slides lighter made it easier for me to see and read them. The fact that you use slides is helpful to me since I am a visual learner. Otherwise, I can't think of anything you could do better. Your efforts to take responsibility for getting me the access, information, tools and forms to graduate has gone far beyond the call of duty. CWU/COB has a great gift in you. Thanks!

some of the questions on the exams were somewhat confusing....perhaps more attention could be made to clarity in the asking of the questions, and this might lead to less confusion on the part of the students.

I think this class should be broken down and extended into three or four courses, so that one could get an IT forensics minor here. This class was awesome!!

I like your sense of humor, but I think that you intimidate some of the students. Although you will laugh at some of our answers, you will tell us what the correct answer is and explain anything that we do not understand.

The instructor seemed to stray from the lecture into an area that was way too techie for the class to understand.

Be on schedule. Those that work like to get things done on the weekend. I felt as if some webquests were only given out during the weekend. I did one webquest and then it was changed. Don't give out a big presentation two weeks before its due. We have twenty other things to be doing at the end of the quarter also.
