Crossword Puzzles

The purpose of the crossword puzzles is to familiarize you with the key terms before we discuss them in class and to motivate you to preview new material. Thus, they will help insure that you are better able to understand and participate in our discussions.

Each puzzle will be available from the course web-page (or distributed to you as an email attachment) before we start the related chapter. To complete these assignments you need to print out the crossword puzzle, preview the chapter and the key terms, then complete the puzzle with a pen or pencil.

Each printed puzzle is due in class on the due date and it will be graded in class. Grading is based on:

1. Your presence in class when we grade the puzzle (no presence, no points).

2. The completeness and accuracy of your submission.

3. The timeliness of your submission in the prescribed manner (printed out, brought to class).

You must submit your points for each crossword using the appropriate web-based form, within 48 hours after we grade them:
