Important Policies

  1. Academic Integrity
Accounting professionals in general, and CPAs in particular, have reputations for working hard, being objective, and having integrity. Aspiring accountants (i.e., accounting students) must:

    • Accept these as the Facts of Life and

    • Understand that when one person compromises, all suffer.

This is especially true with respect to integrity.

  1. Cooperative Learning
I encourage cooperative learning on ALL course assignments except examinations. Cooperative efforts during exams are forbidden and guilty parties will relinquish the related examination, receive a zero, and be subject to prosecution per the Academic Integrity policy above.

  2. DSS Assistance
If you need additional considerations or assistance because of your special physical or mental challenges, please let me know.

  3. Assignment Submission
I do not accept any assignment that is late or not submitted in the prescribed manner. YOU are responsible for staying informed about the course schedule and for being informed about assignment requirements. This information is readily available form the course's Daily Schedule web-page and regularly discussed in class.

  4. CWU Scheduling Conflicts
If there is a scheduling conflict between our assignments and any other University sponsored/supported activities (including your career interviewing trips), please let me know at least a week in advance. I require written notification sent via e-mail.

  5. Makeup Exams
I do not give makeup exams. If you have an excused absence, the points will be removed from the grade calculations, for no more than one exam. Otherwise, you will receive a grade of zero on the exam.
